September the official month of fashion mayhem, with New York Fashion Week, London, Milan and Paris. This season designers showcased their Spring Summer 2018 collection, with so many hot trends popping up, it was evident that colour was the highlight. One of our favourites from New York was Christian Siriano who opted for volumes of colour masses of volume that built swirls around the female form. The Blonds New York made a storm of a blue latex one-piece as modelled by Teyana Taylor.

You simply couldn’t miss the recognised line-up of diversity within Christian’s representation of how he views the world.  Gucci opened up Milan Fashion Week with a knock-on 70’s influence of sequinned gowns, jackets, turbans and crystal-embellished tights. Donatella Versace paid homage to her late brother Gianni Versace, with a special 20th anniversary celebration. Supermodels of the 90’s Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, Carla Bruni, and Helena Christensen all wearing gold shimmer slip dresses in different styles, closed the show walking hand in hand to the anthem ‘Freedom’ by the late George Michael. The complete Spring Summer 18 collection was a tribute to his vision, his work, his friends and featured 12 of his original prints.
